:)

Know that feeling. Looked through the SDK last night and saw lots of pics of GUIs, programming notations and stuff like that - but nothing that said ..'to do {this}, this is what you do......'

This is the reality gap between computer geeks and real people.

It's a truism - but if you can't communicate your knowledge to a mass audience, it's unfortunately of little real value.

IMO the value of the SDK to the 'simmer in the street' as been grossly oversold, like other aspects of this product. It should not have been included with and used to hype up the cost of the Deluxe edition. It should have been made available to those who can make use of it (a very small minority of very computer savvy people) as SDKs have for previous versions in the past.

I really know very little about this. I think you have to specify the drive that FSX is installed to on your system in the path entries to those DLL files.

Assuming FSX is installed to the default location on your C: drive try this.

Launch
dll.xml
False
False

Object Placement Tool
False
False
C:\program files\microsoft games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SDK\object_placement.dll

Traffic Toolbox
False
False
C:\program files\microsoft games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SDK\traffictoolbox.dll

Visual Effects Tool
False
False
C:\program files\microsoft games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SDK\visualfxtool.dll

FSUIPC 4
False
Modules\FSUIPC4.dll
