I was reading the PIA forums and it seems that right now they are waiting to see if Lee Swordy is going to develop AFCAD and TTools for FSX

Tell you what - I was looking at the SDK last night because I'm interested in knowing how to make moving objects.

I don't know how differently FSX works 'under the skin' compared to FS9 but unless Lee was given the FSX SDK a while ago (as people like Peter Dowson were) it could be quite a long wait!

It's very complex even if you're an accomplished C/C++ programmer (which I am not BTW

Afcad would have to be one of my most valued and used add-ons in my collection, i also hope that an FSX version will appear on the scene soon.

FSX has only been on the market for less than a month so it is going to take time for developers to come up with new versions of existing add-ons. hopefully it won't take too long for them to start to arrive.

Those who might be waiting for Lee Swordy to come to the rescue will likely grow old and die first.  The last person who actually received a reply from Lee (last month) quoted Lee as saying that he's "left the hobby" permanently.

On a brighter note, the nice fellow devs at http://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/index.php are working on a new multi-purpose scenery design tool that will eventually replace AFCAD...  ;D
