Another bug in the UI?

In the map view in FS-9, you can change the heading and the little AC graphic would trun to correspond to the new heading.

However, in FSX when changing the heading, the AC graphic does not change to reflect it.

It  does change when you hit the OK button but, then you can only see it for a fraction of a second which is totally worthless.

If this is a bug, it only seves to again illustrate just how superficially it was BETA tested.

Joe, this is tiresome.  In fact that particular 'bug' was reported, and validated/confirmed by 321 other beta testers.  Obviously ACES didn't consider it a high enough priority to schedule a 'fix.'

The "job" of beta testers is to identify and report 'bugs' and other 'problems."  After that is done, it's up to the prioritization team at ACES to take action.  Simply because a 'bug' is reported does not mean it gets fixed.

Similarly, just because there are bugs in the release does not "prove" that they were unreported!

Whoa, that let's me off the hook  :)
Anyway, check out the FSX FlightPlanner whereby one can drag the red course-line to any point and FSX will create a waypoint for it -- complete with GPS coordinates.

The only downside is the format is not compatible with FS9. Now that's serious betatesting!
