I always reinstall stuff when i hav no clue as to whats goin on.  Then, rather than change settings, i go directly to play.  Usually works.

Otherwise i got no more suggestions...

(well one more: set FSX settings to the same as the demo settings...)

What did he say?

Punctuation, capital letters.

First work out how to make your postings intelligable and then post your computer specifications, which probably aren't good enough to run FSX at it's best.

Let's forget all this nonsense & get this fixed if possible. If we insist on perfect spelling & punctuation there would be very few members left in this forum & that includes the mods & senior members. Glass houses & all that. ::) :P

Eiiic, if you post your system specs somebody might be able to suggest something.

Hiya. Haven't seen the pics you posted - where can I find em?

How much memory do you have? Have you applied any of the recommended edits to your FSX.cfg yet?

Well i have 3.06 intel pentium 4 processor
512mb of ram 200gb hard drive. My graphic card
suck it a intel family chipset family. 128mb
i played fs02 fs04 and i played orbiter all worked
out just right. i even tried out the demo on fsx and
it worked out right. And all i get sometime is
application error fsx.exe
the instruction at (000000000) referenced memory
at (000000000) the memory could not read. It never
said that to any other application i had played on here
i guess i have to get a new pci greahic card or what
not. i dont know but all my spec are ok i guess.

Apparently reading isn't your strong point as Hagar was trying to help you, not have a go at you about anything.

Craig, let's leave it. This isn't the forum I know it is if we can't help out if someone's got a problem. It's what we do best. English teachers we are not  ;)

Looking at the machine specs, lack of memory and not having a separate graphics card with at least 128MB of its own RAM I'd say are the main problem areas. Don't forget that the graphics system you have is actually sharing (ie stealing  :) ) some of the already small amount of RAM that you have which is making the memory problem even worse.

Can't explain how the demo worked and the release doesn't. Are you sure the real FSX didn't work when you first installed it and then it got worse after you changed a few settings?

That's what happened for me and it was a climb back up again.

But the first thing you MUST do is edit FSX.cfg to make all of the changes that have been found to definitely help program performance, even if, because of your rig, it means cutting down on visual quality.

BTW I've only got an AMD 64 3000+ and 1GB DDR RAM myself, so with a bit more RAM and a separate card you should be able to do at least as well as me.

Just to get the record straight here. My remark was directed at Eno & others complaining about spelling & punctuation. I was not getting at you in any way. Believe it or not I was actually trying to help you as I have helped literally 1,000s of others over the last 7 years.

Now, let's put it down to a misunderstanding & try to use this forum in the way it was intended.
