Oil PSI

Just a quick question. I'm having a problem with the dang "Low Oil Pressure" error. Either in missions or just flying around.  What causes this, and whats a way to fix it? Either in mid air, or just trying to start the engines, makes it a tough job not knowing what to do

Switch to Pennsoil synthetic.

Sounds like an anomaly in your setup (system)
I've flown lots of the FSX Missions and never received this message.

Remember to load a default flight when trouble-shooting

Confused on the "Sounds like an anomaly in your setup (system)" part. As in the computer, or the way the game is set up?

Because the problem I'm getting is natural in the game, just not when I want it to happen. The warning pops up, and 10 seconds later my engines cut out, and all of a sudden I'm a glider.  The problem is getting it to go away, mixture, ignition don't fix it.

I can slew for a second and it will fix it, but thats about it. Any plausible fixes would be appreciated

Are you running engines full throttle for long periods and not watching critical temperatures?

Could be, two of em were missions that were meant to be that way, the third I just started and it was like that. Learjets... ><

But just wondering whats the procedure to correct for low oil pressure

I understand that failures are far better modeled in FSX than FS9.  In the real world you can't just push the throttles to the stops and then leave them that way...... you'll cook the engines.

Just wondering if that is the reason that the OP is dropping....you are burning it off or have caused an oil leak.  Then the engine quits.

Maybe someone who knows more about FSX and real life engines can comment.
