Who did the 'incompatible gauge' system?

Look, if you install a plane with a panel and want to fly it, it's pretty dang obvious that you want to use the software, right?

So why the heck does it go through each ruddy gauge asking you that, over and over again. Does it think you're gonna say 'No'?

Why can't it just look at each gauge and decide whether it works or not.

Then if it doesn't work, wait until the end and say 'This is the list of gauges that I'm not loading because they won't work with this version. Do you still want to proceed?' Then if you say 'Yes', you get to fly the plane without the offending gauges.

But not only does it go through the STUPID rigmarole of taking each gauge one at a time,  but even after it tells you it won't load one or more, it also does the whole thing AGAIN when you click the 'Fly' button.

A designer somewhere wants his head tested and his backside kicked IMO.

There's a fair bit I don't like about the FSX front end. The best bit is that you don't have to restart the sim after changing the scenery library (yeah - like it was in FS2002...) but have you noticed how if you change anything in an aircraft, even one that's not loaded to fly, after starting the sim, it hangs so long it's quicker to do Ctrl_Alt_Del and restart!
