well exactly what the title says. Last time I checked YSSY had grass. Why on earth does the FSX YSSY have sand? Its a MAJOR airport MS could AT LEAST get the surface material right! GREAT work on YSSY this time around Microsoft but this spoils it!

All the real life photos I have seen, the grass is dead looking, or looks like sand to me.

not every airfield is going to be 100% accurate to life for example i doubt every RAF station in england is just 2 strips

yes I agree the grass looks dead but I dont think it should look like a mini Nevada Desert!
Also flymo this is a major airport its not like some backstrip in the countryside!

Bah.... The airports are close enough, at least the ones around me, KMKG is correct, the Oceana County airport is also correct, and the Mason county one is correct 2 are backwoods airports, and the KMKG is an international County airport (Small but its still international, because of canadian flights I presume) Grass/terrain doesnt really matter I dont think, if the runways are all there, the lakes, ponds, rivers, roads, highways, factories and channels are all in the correct place, be happy..... Somebody will probably release something like Ultimate Terrain Europe/America/Canada for FSX soon enough

Thats not bad considering that my town built a new airport, but fsx put the old(no longer usable) airport. They used KILL insead of KBDH. I know that it is too small for anyone to care about though.

Generally in FS the actuall runways are fairly true to life. So if the RAF bases you look at in FS have two strips then the chances are they only have two in reality.
(P.s. RNAS Culdrose has three runways and has done in every version of FS I've tried.)
