After I assign the button commands & check OK, when I restart FSX from the start, ALL the commands are blank, I would need to do this again.
My first step was to remove ALL the previous commands then change to my requested configuration.
Did not work >:(
Help.

Do you not have to save the settings now?

In the Demo you had to save your graphical settings. I would think it is the same with assignments so you could save different setups  :)

No, it still retains the last settings. You can save different versions though while you are making changes so when it all goes pear shaped you can easily revert to a set that worked.

This is obviously a problem to do with this specific install. I've had a problem with my latest install not retaining the new default flight but last time it seemed to have. Also, with my latest install I've left the music on, and when I click on my Task Bar volume control it cuts out until I close the volume control again. Then it starts up again. Didn't do that before.

I did a post earlier about the sheer unpredictability of FSX compared to previous versions. I seemed to solve the speciific problem I mentioned in that posting but I still think that the program is a bit too flakey and inconsistent.

I had this same problem at first kept configuring the control settings to run with my X52. I would save them, then when I next signed onto the sim, I would load my config settings and the changes were gone...had to reasign them again.

I must just have been saving them at the wrong point or something..maybe you have to set and save from the flight screen. Any how now my settings - graphic as well as control are working when I load from the setup screen.

Solved many of my problems. I uninstalled , then made my computer set up in CLEAN BOOT configuration, reinstalled FSX, POOF ALL errors & problems diappeared.
