Well, we can certainly look forward to some of the later Merlin Spits (VII, VIII, IX and XI) from Plane Design, albeit payware. I assume RAS will update the XIV too (fingers crossed!) ;D

To be fair, they were designed for FS2002 though. :)

You know what I meant. Made for CFS2, usable in FS2002, and upgraded to FS9... ;)

Did he use FSDS or Gmax for those?

I thought the later Rebuffat models were created in Gmax. Not sure they were all updated. Maybe the problem is because they were exported for CFS2 & not FS2002. It's possible the MDL files could be converted with Ivan Hsu's MDLC utility. He's still active & might even be working on an update to it for FSX.

PS. The Beaver floatpane included with the original FSX Demo won't display in the latest one. I get the same error message as with Paul's Spits. I assume this also applies to the full version of FSX.

Kevin, I don't know this Spit, but it seems to me that it's not really old, it was released not so long ago, am I right ?

In that case, could it be just those missing lines in the Aircraft.cfg, like ui_somethig=blabla that FSX needs to display the aircraft ?

No , it's most likely the ,mdl file, I think.  They were high quality for the time they were released, though only average by today's standards.  The most important points were they were free and there was a TON of them...

Strange... I would expect any Gmax aircraft at least to show up (even with flawns) in FSX...
What happens exactely when you try to load it ? You've not been very precise in the description of the situation. Does the aircraft show up in the list ? In the preview windows ? What error messages do you have ?
