It is the status bar at the top.

I hate it.

To get rid of it, you have to go to screen mode, then go back to full screen, then, if you want to change any options, it pops back up and stays.  >:(

I dont like it.

Makes it hard to take screenshots.

Try holding the 'alt' button down for a second or two...

There should be a sticky, and all it should say is "Hold 'alt' "

It got me too...  Someone had to tell me how to do it.  :-[

.........another thing .....with FS9 when in spot view I often used the Shift/Backspace and Shift/Enter to look from above and below  the plane...........doesn't seem to work on FSX...or is there another way to do this......I found it handy for screenshots...........commoner

Did you try cycling through the available "spot" views by pressing 'a' while you're in spot view?

..mm...well thanks but yes I knew about that but it's not the same as I was used to in FS9...even though, I might add the assignments list says it should be doing just that............commoner.
