phone activation?

How hard is the phone activation in FS X?

(e.g.,do you just call MS up and ask..then they unlock it for you...or what's the deal here?)

Reason I'm urgently asking is, I've got FS X Deluxe on the way inbound from Newegg International Airport...  ;D ,
and I'd hate to jump through hoops to get my new sim up and running.

I never had to do that, I had to type in a CD key, but there was no activation.

yes there is an activation i did it over the internet. type in the cd key and it "activates" the game. Now you dont have to activate but youll be limited to 30 minutes at a time

Oh, I guess it just asks for the CD key when you run it the first time, but I didn't even realize that was the activation.

yes it checks the cd key to a database

In the main FSX folder, you'll find a file, Phone Activation.xml

You can open this file with Notepad. In it, you'll fine a list of activation phone numbers......worldwide.

Phone activation is for people who do not have an active internet connection.  Same with XP.
