hello!Everything depends how good you want to see fsx, to be honest with you this is a machine for fs9,not for FSX.Dont take me wrong, but you need a faster processor not much, you need another video board, nvida nothing less that a 7600 gt.For fs9 1gb of ram is ok but for FSX 2gb is what you need. This is my opinion and is based on the posts you can see here.My expirience with my machine is(amd 64 3500, 1536 ram3*512 ddr ,Nvidia 7600gt) i can't go beyond medium low and some of them medium/medium and i have 15\20 fps.but this is the demo i dont know if the final release is diferent.
I hope i helped, but anyway wait for other opinions.

Will it run FSX? Yes.... Will it run it maxed out will all the bells and whistles? I doubt it because I have the exact same thing but my comp is an ACER and I got it for about the same price maybe 50 more with the same exact specs, bigger hard drive, and a better monitor.... anyways, It wont run FSX Stock but if you can add a PCI-E card it will run it medium settings maybe, add a gig of ram like I did and a graphics card and it will do medium high or High low decent enough (Based on the demo) I run a 7300LE 128 meg and it tears through my system ram like a knife, I would buy a X1300XT with 12 pipes for a starter card until FSX came out.... (Thats an ATI Card btw) with that and an added gig of ram the system will be like 700 bucks total maybe? but then it would run FSX Fairly good but not perfect..... FSX Eats more ram than it does CPU (Uses all 1.6 available gigs here) Cheers, Gunny

Nothing on the planet, not even FSX needs 4 gb of ram unless you find an extremely good deal.FSX will drain your machine first in graphic card, and then ram and finally processor, some people say processor first than ram but mainly its graphics i managed try a x1900 on my pc and the diference is notorious. So i know I will have to update my graphic card in a few months. There are many new things comming up processors, video cards so there will be a war,and the most inportant there will be a price war specially on old material. So if you dont want to spend money with out be sure wait, and also wait about FSX.FSX is comming out for everybody now let the magicians first work so they can teach us and then we know what to buy.
Take care

NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE Graphics with TurboCache technology and up to 256MB shared video memory; high-definition audio with 8-speaker support

i dont like that, shared video memory SUCKS. also note "up to 256mb"  ;D Id try and get a better video card and you may be ok.

You're right, WinXP is not capable of using 4Gb memory.

I disagree with your statement about RAM having a greater effect on performance than CPU.

During the Beta testing, I doubled my RAM to 2Gb. The difference was mainly quicker response when changing views or snap views (top hat button) but performance was barely affected.
(AMD64 4000+, 6600GT-256Mb PCIe)

CPU and video card are the main considerations. Which comes first is debatable and depends largely on existing hardware. A video card with less than 256Mb RAM is crippled. Upgrading to a dual core CPU is little help. As with any heavy duty app, there's no substitute for speed.
Adobe Photoshop is a good example.

This has been my experience. No point in trying to debate me, I won't bite. My statements are based on fact, not opinion.
