Would you like to see meigs rebuilt in FSX?

I think it's a foregone conclusion that eventually, someone will build a Meigs package for FS10.

..mm...don't get me wrong.. I loved Meigs Field and had it as my default "home" airport for years in various versions of the sim...BUT ...it is DEAD..........so let it RIP..............commoner

No, and FS web sites should prevent people form uploading Meigs scenery. LOL

What kind of a question is that? If someone wants Meigs they will make scenery for it.

Well, I like my sim to be just like real life...so if there was anyway to shut down Meigs in FS9...I would (with a heavy heart) close it down...

When someone comes out with a replacement Meigs, I'm not sure if I'll download it or not...

The beauty of this Flight Simulator environment is that for some, Meigs will always be there.  For others, it's gone.

It's no different from someone creating La Guardia Field in it's heydey, pre-JFK.

How about those that want to fly out of McCoy Air Force Base?  Somehow, Orlando International isn't going to be a good alternative.

Maybe I'd like to take an HP42 out of Croydon to Paris.  Taking off Heathrow doesn't make it "real" ...

I would really like to take off and land at Meigs once again in FSX. I'm ok with the fact that Microsoft no longer included it in FSX because FS was meant to represent real life. All I have to do is simply wait for someone to either update the FS9-based Meigs addon into FSX or create a fresh new version that takes full advantage of the FSX features.

Ok, the realist part of me wants Meigs as real as it is now, so no airport, just green area as it is in FSX.

BUT !! The FS addict part of me simply thinks that FS without Meigs is not FS. So FS9 Meigs addon will do.

Trying to balance.... hmmm..... (real time = 0,0000000001 sec.) my FSX will get a runway in Meigs  ;D

If an FSX Kai Tak can be as good as the one I use in FS9 that would be fun.  Not just because one has to momentarily take one's eyes off the crossword puzzle in order to land but it's fun watching some of the AI get it wrong and get sent round by ATC!!!
