How Many?

Postby FLYING_TRUCKER » Fri Oct 06, 2006 8:26 am

Good morning all. :)

Just a quick question before I go purchase this thing today.

How many versions of the new Flight Sim are there?

Is there a regular version and then a delux version and are they both (all) available right now?

Any help would be much appreciated. :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug

Hi Doug. If you mean FSX it's not been released yet. I understand there will be two versions, Standard & Deluxe. This would be similar to FS2002 Standard & Pro.

I believe you can still download the trial version from the M$ FS Insider site. http://www.microsoft.com/games/flightsimulatorx/downloads.html

PS. This is the Cafe. Flight Sim speak not allowed :-X

Thanks Doug ;)

Future shop here announced that it would be on the shelves and released today but did not say what version.

They are a good 75 minute one way drive for me and did not want to go if they did not have the best version.

Because I posted in the wrong spot I shall go down to the barn and stand in the corner for the "mods" for 30 minutes. :)  ;)

Doug hasn't had a fag since January...
...and not a drop of booze of any kind has passed my lips for the past three months...

Doug has stopped coughing, and my memory has returned to normal... ;D...!

Well done to both of us...with better health, and more money in our pockets... 8)...!

Well folks I purchased FS X Deluxe at Future Shop which is I believe "Best Buy" in the United States.

The sticker price is $79.99 and with Provincial and Federal Sales Tax the final price is $91.19 Canadian Dollars.

I also spoke to the Sales Manager about carrying CH Products and a greater line of Flight Simulator products.
I informed him of one of the largest military bases in Canada is about twenty-five miles from him and is expanding.  They have a computer club and are talking about a Flight Simulator Club off that.

I mentioned to him about my seventy-five minute drive in to his store to purchase this product and the seventy-five minutes it will take to drive home, I told him there were simulator folks driving farther than that in our area to his store and that should show some dedication to his products.

I also mentioned that the sister stores in the United States do carry a much larger selection of simulator products than he does.

He smiled and nodded and said he would look into this for me.
I took a whole fifteen minutes of his time.
I am not sure how far this will go if anywhere. ::)

Thanks for the replies. :)

Cheers...Happy Landings...Doug
