Hi there,
READ THIS FIRST BEFORE CLICKING THE LINK
I not know if this has allready been posted.
All pictures we have seen from FSX were DX9 pictures so far.
I came across an article on a german gamers website wich included DX10 artist concept images made from allready existing FSX DX9 Images. The article says these images were demonstrated by someone called "Scott Anderson" who is obviously (google) Business Development Manager of Microsoft Flight Simulator. So as far as I can say the source of these images is microsoft. But I

The link doesn't work and anyway this drawing is certainly the one that was shown in the very first press conference from microsoft in which they introduced FSX and DX10 possibilities, 6 months ago or something.
This drawing has been posted several times already in the past few months, I invite you to read the older posts of this forum.

Are those real screenshots? Not artist renderings?

No, they're artists renderings of what they THINK the screens would look like with DX10. :P
I find all that funny. I'm sure it'll look great, but I think I'll wait and see what it really looks like. Because anything can be claimed, but it's far from being true until it happens.

Really ? I was sceptical because I didn't ever noticed anything exceptionnal in those pictures. As I mentionned ther other post about those paintings, the water sure looks beautifull, but you can already have that on DX9 (and I posted some real screenshots of it), and for the sun rays, well... I just hope they will look better than those paintings...

I hadn't seen the second set before, thanks for the link!

I really hope we get clouds that look like that with DX10, and I hope they're much more realistic when you fly through them. Whenever you fly in and out of the clouds in any flight sim now, they seem to slowly fade in or out, which is totally wrong. When you fly into the side of a bug puffy cumulus, there is a definite barrier between inside, and outside of the cloud, and hopefully Microsoft gets it right with FSX.

I don't beleive any of the DX10 pics, its too realistic! Show me actual Fs9 aircraft or objects moving with the scenery and I will beleive it!
