I played the demo of FSX and noticed that my current graphics card ATI 9550 is not going to cut it with the new verson of flight sim. I do not have a PCI Express port and haven't updated my card in a while so can someone tell what is the best AGP card on the market right now? ATI or Nvidia? What is the price range, not that price is an issue I just need to know how much I will be spending, thanks.

The fastest AGP card is nVIDIA 7800GS. It is around $260.

actually... thats the old G70 core model

the fastest AGP is the 7800GS from Gainward @ 512MB it uses the G71 core with full 24 pipes

same as a 7900GT or GTX just not PCIE

we discussed that in another thread... but it is 450USD and it can only be obtained from europe

I'm running a 256MB BFG Geforce 7800GS OC in AGP and it handles the FSX demo perfectly.  ;)

Ive got a Nividia 7900GT and handles the demo at 15-20 FPS, its slower with the trees and sutch but i expect them to work that out (hopefully) for the full FSX and am hopeing for better performance.
