Note on the DX10 Images

Postby Katahu » Sun Sep 24, 2006 8:46 pm

Ok everyone, I just want to make it clear about the DX10 concept images we have been seeing for the past few months since DX10 was announced.

For the love of god, if anyone posts a thread about the concept shots and provides links about them, please read everything about the shots. I'm an surprised to see quite a handful of people around here who still ask if the images are real FSX screenshots regardless of the fact that the phrase "these are artist concepts of what Microsoft predicts the graphics would look like when using DX10" has been posted repeatedly in the initial post.

Again, please read everything about the DX10 shots before throwing questions. If you can't help but ask anyways, go ahead no one is stopping you.

Thank you. I've been meaning to say something to this effect, but couldn't find the right words.

Thank you very much!  It was rather annoying when I posted them in another thread, and everyone jumped on me for them not being actual screenshots.  Yes thanks, I realized that.  People need to understand though that DX10 will change some things, and those conceptual renderings are the closest thing we have to showing what those changes will be, so until we do have actual screenshots, this is the best we have.

I remember you asked a simple, yet-already-answered-in-the-initial-post question about this in another thread. ;D

Nobody knows how Dx10 is going to pan out. The artists impressions are just hoped for graphics!

I didn't jump on anyone... If it's me you were talking about I apologize for sounding like I was, because that was not my intent at all. All I'm saying is what Katahu is saying.

I just find it funny that lots of people are practically counting on them to look like that. While I hope that they do look similar, and can't wait for FSX -- IMO those artist renderings are very optimistic at best.

Don't worry, not a problem, I just figured when I posted the link that it was implied that they were still concept shots and not actual screenshots.  No worries.
