For all those rotor heads out there is it just me or do the FS9 Helos just not fly right in the demo? My settings are on full realistic and they fly like there on easy and the tail rotor just dose not work right. Do you think that they may have improved the way helicopters are molded for FSX and as a result the flight dynamics are not right for previous versions?

Could be, but I'd rahter say that maybe the flight dynamics for helos were not completely finished when the demo was released

The sim only reads and computes from the helo's airfile and config.
The FS9 helos were never really modelled correctly in any case, so getting garbage should be no surprise.
The demo flight engine as far as I can tell is essentially identical to FS9's engine. So much so that like in FS9,high wing configs are crappily modelled, wing incidence is removed etc etc. Same old crap really.
I suggest you contact microsoft and speak to the individual who decided to use the FS9 engine, and request a change, possibly even an apology for getting it wrong.

You might just wish to hold off until you've seen the RTM version of FSX...
...among other things, autorotations are now working properly. :o

Really ? Autorotations like the real thing ? Because the engine gestion in FS9 was not that good, not very realistic...
Did they work on the turbine engines as well ?

Autorotation works in the Gazelle in Fs9. All depends on the flight model. Default models are notoriously crappy but some freeware and payware work fine.

FS9 helicopter dynamics, when the work right on a model, are a tribute to their dynamicist's talent.
Having said that, whether a "good/excellent" FS9 helicopter will fly the same in FS-X without extesive tweaking, remains to be seen.
