Major Flaw in Utalight VC.....

Postby Joe_D » Sat Aug 12, 2006 4:09 pm

I don't know if this was already mentioned......

In the ultralight if you want to climb, you push the control bar foreward and back to decend. This make perfect sense if you see the action in the spot view which has it correct

However, in the VC this is reversed and it depicts the bar being pulled back to climb, etc.
How did this get by the FSX team?

It has been noticed. Hardly a major flaw as the aircraft are unfinished. I also noticed the rudder pedals seem to be reversed. I don't think this type of microlight has rudder pedals.

Well, if the VC is "hard coded" in the AC model, there has to be some revisions  of it.

Not a qesstion of finishing it but rather, correcting it. :)

BTW, I was also wondering about the rudder pedals

It dosen't. It's only to taxi, in which, RL ultralites don't taxi. They're just kind of pushed. :)

I just remembered the ones I've seen have a foot operated throttle pedal, like on a car. Oh, and they do taxi. Don't ask me how.

Hm. Well at least the few I've seen and the one I've been up in don't. The poor-man's ultralite I guess. :)

If you look closely the rudders are directly connected to the front wheel.

And for VC bugs... already spotted the one in the Beaver (flap indicator is the wrong way around in the VC, but OK in the panel)
