Will you buy?

So now that youve played it, what are your thoughts regarding purchase?  Sadly for me my graphics card just isnt cut out for FSX, so I do not plan on buying it just yet.  I'm going to college next year, so I only have this computer for another year and then I will be getting a nice laptop.  Then I will probably buy FSX, unless the full version seems more promising for my computer.

From what ive seen, Demo=Crap. The only thing ive seen so far fsx is worth is bad fps, some nice planes and water. The ground wont even load past 1 mile for me then goes blurry. And if it wont run well on 1.5 gigs of ram and a 300 dollar video card somethings wrong with MS. So if the full is anything like the demo i will not be purchasing it.

What did you expect from a demo? A Miracle? ::)

Something better than the system hog that ms put out. If 3 years of development cant run smoothly idk then.

If I went to a Mercedes Benz garage and asked for a ride in a new sporty model coming out in 3 months, and then the doors didn't shut properly, or the roof didn't work, or none of the accessories had been fitted just because it was a 'demo', I wouldn't be impressed enough to go ahead and order one - would you?

::)

I wasnt expecting perfection just something a little smoother than the demo is, yeesh ::)

Edit: To add on to the Mercedes comment, i dont think they would put out something like that as a demo and i wouldnt think ms would either but low and behold ::)

I'll wait until a few people here with rigs similar to mine have experienced it...then I'll go out and buy Deluxe FSX ;)

well most people will probably upgrade to fsx sooner or later...is it just me or were there arguements like this a while before fs9 was released.

YES fsx does kill the fps but what about all the stuff they've added: water, all kinds of ai, WAY beter default terain mesh, self shadowing on planes better autogen, way better default planes, better air traffic control, missions to give you something to try in your free time, nice ground textures etc. and ....ITS ONLY A DEMO.
Compared to fs2002 fs9 killed your fps (maybe not as bad as fsx compared to fs9 but fsx adds alot more features than fs9 did.) but it did that because it added new features just like fsx does.

If FSX insists that it will only run on Service Pack 2, and that it will not run on my Win XP Pro with Service Pack 1 installed then I'm afraid it's a definate....

......NO!..... >:(...!
