May have been BPB
Holy crap...FSX's Deluxe Edition will require 14GB of free space...isn't that a little too over the top? And it does not state weather the retail version will require XP w/ SP2...weird...if it does, I am not getting FSX...

EDIT: I know X-Plane is around 60GB with all those mesh and all

14Gb is much less than I expected, to be honnest

Why don't you want to upgrade to SP2 ? Incomptible with some software you use

14Gb is fine. Considering you won't be downloading so much scenery as well, as most of it is already there for you.
After playing the demo, I think it's safe to say I'll be able to run the full version without too many hitches, so once FS9 is gone, I'll have plenty of space left for it.

Really ? Mine didn't have any problems ???
Have you tried some system tweaking, like verifying if this pack was not installing any useless service, etc ?

I'm actually hoping for bigger file sizes. Bigger file sizes = more stuff

!!
And 14 GB is tiny compared to this...

I gotta 250 GB Hard Drive, an 80 GB HD and that stock 40 GB HD. No need for me to worry about space.
