Theres military AI on the boat :o :D

What does this mean about the planes? Could they be just static? Or maybe they're AI? or MAYBE they might be flyable..???

Just wanted to pop the thought

The first thought that popped in my mind was etheir static and possibally AI, but not flyable AI. As the piper cherokee is not flyable in FS9 along with the Dash 8 and MD80, it might contrast in the same way. ;D

I think I read somewhere that they're AI, but I don't believe they are flyable...the last flyable Mil Jet I remember was back in FS4...I think...

I didn't see an F/A-18 on the default aircraft list when I was looking at it in Oshkosh.

Probably just static aircraft mounted to the aircraft carrier. As for the aircraft carrier, well, they've been in fs2004 and fs2002 and most likely more.

At least the "stock" carrier no longer looks like a floating shoebox on water. ::)

About the carriers, we are now sure that FSX would allow moving carriers, since we will be able to land on a moving bus.

I was just wondering if this "moving runway" feature would allow working elevators on the carriers  ??? Would be definitely great :)

In FS2002, a few AI aircraft, were not flyable, but a download form MS's FS site allowed me to fly them.

I doubt this will be the case for FSX, cuz I think those MilJets are only static aircraft.

If you crash into one of the jets, it'll probably say:

Anyone else notice the lack,     of waves and a wake around the carrier?

MS should make an automated feature of this.  where, if anything: aircraft, scenery, etc. is in contact with the water and moving, there should be a wake.

And what if NOT moving ? ;)

You do not see any waves lapping down the side, so from that angle it could also be levitating.

Well, obviously just some subtle splashing, like an anchored boat. :P

They sould be able to do that, if they can create flour bomb effects and 5000 autogen in 1 scene. ;)

Even if it's anchored there should still be evidence of a tidal current. If they can make herds of elephants surely it's possible to render the sea correctly. But, seeing as they still don't know how how DX10 will work (in the video the "nice man" said "We told the DX10 team what we want!" (DX10 isn't ready yet!!)), probably we will have to wait another year or so before we see a "full on" sim.
