AvSim Link

This one includes photos taken at the Canadian Aviation Expo. In my opinion, I believe that having two different version is helpful in terms of allowing users who are in a tight budget to get a more affordable version while it's likely that addon developers might go and buy the deluxe version for the SDKs.

What difference would it make? It's still going to cost more than the normal version. ;D

Can it be because, the compatabillity with dx9 and deluxe for dx10. Wait, yah the new version whatever it  should be compatable with both dx9 and dx10? ;D

I don't think it's to make it cheaper for anyone.

The deluxe version will most likely just be more expensive and the "standard" version wil not get any cheaper.

These videos are more promising.  Even tho they are still missions, a lot of it appears to be more of a sim.  And the cockpits look nice 8)

And theres crash effects 8)

From the looks of the video, the helicopter still has that sim feel to it as it looms over the oil rig and the ATC chatter has finally been improved.

No more:

*wierd static computer voice*

Bow-ing... seven... three... seven... de-part-from... run-way... too... seven... right.

You can finally hear the voices of real people talking like normally rather than like R2-D2.

But the heli didnt flip back with the rudder, it seems like if you can fly it you can fly it, not like in FS where you turn the tail and it whips you back around in the wrong direction

At least I'll be able to turn without having to worry about being pulled back to where I don't want to point.

I'm saving up to DX10 graphics card to annoy my friend with Xbox360 :P so I will probably get the cheap one ;( However I wonder what features I will be missing out on....

Anyway, great find, and thanks for the link.

Thanks Katahu!  Were you at the Expo?  Because I was...LOL!  Got to play the demo there...VERY MUCH IMPROVED  :o :o :o :o!!!  Wow!  Tried the oil rig mission...VERY difficult.  Not to worry, this is not a game...any ordinary gamer could NOT complete that mission (hey, I couldn't...).  Talking to the Microsoft guy, he said that the deluxe edition would contain more planes and more complicated scenery...just to let you know... ;D

Well, I "WISH" I was there, but I wasn't. And if I did, I would have recorded every moment I fly with the joystick in view. ;D
