Lets be honest you cannnot learn to fly a jumbo from fs2004 it's just not all there, ok you can glide one into stuff like 9/11 if you kill the pilots and thats about it.

...and have you used FSX yet?

How exactly do you make a non-professional flight simulator unrealistic anyway - reverse all the controls? A large proportion of its users wouldn't know the difference anyway...

Ok, I give up...

...I have no idea what the heck you're talking about. :-/

Ok, i have one more thing to say,

All i want form the flight dynamics in FS is to be able to do a cobra maneuver and be able to"hover" a Pitts/aerobatic plane.

Two things i haven't been able to do in FS yet.

Come on!!

That may very well be HUGE requriments, you don't know how easy/hard it is to program a game engine, none of us do.

The FS series has always been, and will continue to be for the common user and that shows in terms of realism.

I'm happy with FS, there's no other flight simulator/game that will give you such a variety.
LOMAC has really nice flight dynamics, but even LOMAC isn't perfect, for instance the ground handling (taxiing) is bestly described as horrible, it's like super-mario kart all over again.

No simulator has it all..

IL-2/Pacific Fighters, great dynamics also great ground handling, but almost no variety what so ever. You can't download new aircrafts for it, or scenery, only textures. It does not feature the whole world, it doesn't have anything but WWII era aircrafts.

Lovely game though, don't get me wrong, but I wouldn't even put it in the same categori as FS, even though they're both simulators.

FS is lovely in it's variety, it's very hard to get bored with FS.
You can drive cars in FS, you can go boating, you can fly helos planes and whatnot..

---That's what FS is about, please accept it!

*Airshow, what makes you think your talent reaches as far as doing Cobra maneuvers, even if the simulator was capable of it?

Did i say i could do that? No. I said i would like to do it.

If FS was capable of doing that, i could practice it and maybe get good at it.

You are correct in saying dont know how hard it is to create a game engine.

I have alot of respect for those who do create them.

I just saying those are things on my "wish list" for FSX or beyond.

I realise that it'll be a while till that is possible but, in my eyes, it is still possible.

Exactly, and the FS series has never been about total realism, and I think a lot of us love that, cause that way we get all the other good stuff.. Nice graphics, loads of addons and variety, but we just don't realise we get this stuff at the compromise of other things, like what we're dicussing here; Flight Dynamics.

So naturally people want it all, but that's just not possible..

Someone please remind me...what was/is the tagline for the FS franchise again?
Something with "as *hmm* as it gets?"

Seems weird they are marketing the game/sim when they never intended to make it realistic as they could  :)

Lol

This one has made my week :)

Microsoft are THE experts when it comes to 'challenging' flight dynamics, I can assure you Microsoft flight dynamics never were, and never will be influenced by terrorists. I don't know where exactly that one started but it's a good one. ;D ;D

If there was any slight truth in the terrorist theory it would not be the dynamics being dumbed down, it would be the removal of GPS systems from the cockpits.
