not a major issue but still important,

it is the "stuck to plane" kind of spot plane view.

Think of the different screenshots to come now! :D

What is one thing you are excited about in the new to come FSX?

The missions most of all.  I enjoy flying from point one to point two in FS9 for the most part, but missions like we saw in the video and screenshots really make me excited to pick up a copy.  :)

HELICOPTERS!  Okay, this is kindof a new thing, but I really think helicopters would be fun to fly.  Unfortunately, the dynamics in FS9 are crap for helicopters and they are extreemly difficult to fly.  But, as the videos show, it seems like it will finally be possible to hover, turn with the tail rotor, and do everything a helicopter can do.

I started flying choppers in cfs1,  now THATS hard. (especally with a mouse)  I am REALLY excited for the new dynamics though, now i can have some real fun bush flying!

Also about being able to hover, i once hovered for 5-10 min (i dont rember i KNOW it was more than 3 min) in CFS in a rather small hover box, i was 11 or 12 i think at the time  maby older

easier than the FS9 ones though which I have never managed to land without crashing.

It is my understanding that less of the helicopter flighit dynamics and visuals will be "hard coded" into the sim than before.

Again, this is from cursory reading of various blogs and comments, so this may not be accurate.

Great topic!  I agree that I would love the "stuck to plane" spot view.  It makes it much easier to fly.  And I also heartily agree with Mobius - I would love some good missions.  I'm also excited about the moving traffic and animals - and much better scenery :D.

I'm most hopefull about the new missions (especialy if they include a senario editor thats easy to use).  The vastly improved terain and the moving trafic/animals.  The flight dynamics look to have been improved aswell, the glider was definatly flying more like a glider and so was that heli.

Being honest, the thing I'm most excited about in FSX is...well...FSX itself :D

I'm sorry to sound uninformed and uniquely dense, but what the hell is this "stuck to plane" stuff?

Well its like the Screenies where the camera is parallel to the plane.

like this:

as opposed with a spot plane veiw like this:

P.S. i hope thats ok with the mods since it was originally posted on the SimV web site.

Personally, I prefer the spot plane view.
I own Walk and follow, which has a "stuck to plane" view.
It's great if you can move the camera around.
But I use the default FS9 spot view much more often, especially when taking video, I love how the camera has to "catch-up" to your plane, it give the sensation that you are in a spot plane.
