Well its not that great but how about you start in a terminal as the pilot and you walk to your airplane? That way you can choose wich one you want and still be playing the game.
Picture this, you land in a cessna at KLAX. Park. walk around and find a piper cub. jump in it and off you go!
I can see this GTA FSX game is going to rock, I wonder if it will have the cool radio system like the old version, can't wait to try my cessna with RPG's straped to the wings and the hells angels paint job ;D

i like the idea and GTA came to mind right away but being able to pick your plane in the terminal would be great and being able to do a walk around with the default game would be nice no buying programs or finding ones that are kinda slow to do a walk around in
So I had a good idea?! Actually i was thinking after i wrote that post was "Simpsons hit and run" even though ive never played the game
im really surprised people liked this idea.
i should have posted this earlier.
And it wouldnt be that hard to do really...just have the camera as a "tower" like view. 6 feet above the ground. Use the joystick for walking. I was thinking about that this morning and i was thinking the only problem would be is actually entering the aircraft.
on entering the aircraft could something like fsupic report the nearest aircraft (or the one the cameras facing) and the current airport and then the mod use this data to make a new flight from the closest available airport locations (eg if the plane is parked the new flight starts from parked)
I'm not a modder (most I have done is HL2 maps) so I don't know if this is doable but it sounds plausable and would be a great and very usefull addon.

I would prefer to actually use 2 vehicles simultaneously...like one your user aircraft...and the other the one you ride in...like an airport ground vehicle..
