I'm on the Air Force Payroll [semi-monthly], so I don't have to mow any lawns either [unless it's a direct order]. ;D

2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Cheap combo DVD drives are plentiful out there now, so it makes sense to make sure you're equipped. More and more things are likely to be DVD only because of the sheer size and complexity of the software. Look at FS9 itself - 4 CDs. If FSX was released on CD, it would have to be packaged like a couple of Wagner operas!

Yeah mate, just buy a new drive!

My dad just bought a brand new DVD-(re)writer. It can do CD's and DVD's, double layered and double sided and it was only 50 euro's... that's about 55 - 60 bucks, right?

So how much would you have to pay for a DVD PLAYER? about $ 30? I don't know how old you are, but it doesn't seem like that much money... maybe you could ask one for your birthday?

One day we will have BDVDs in the near future [Bio DVDs] that can hold more room than my 250GB HD.*

*Just made that up. ;D
