...self-shadowing effects?

Just take a close look at the tail section of the aircraft and then look at the belly. Do you notice the wings and landing gears casting shadows on the aircraft itself?

I would say yes.  It seems that it would be a logical advance as most games now have self-shadowing effects, even LOMAC, which cam out shortly after FS9, has self-shadowing effects. ;) :)

Yay, we've got self shadowing effects to go along with the shaded rivets. That's great MS, now update the more important stuff....

Even Microsoft can't afford a system good enough to make FSX run smoothly. :D ;D

Well, Eyes you could get it now and would be all buggy and only have about 10,000 airports, or you could wait til its final release and be happy with the product. :)

Think about it that way. ;)

I doubt M$ would even risk making it a repaint as all other sims like LOMAC are competing with self-shadow rendering. Gotta keep up with the competition.

I just noticed something else. There is a prop-blade shadow on the cowling of the Cessna even though the prop is spinning. ;D

I dont know if you've been flying in a Cessna, or any light aircraft of that type Kat, but you do get prop shadows to some degree.

BTW thank you for the sick pics.
