Those Awesome Smooth Gauges

Greetings, fellow air people


have you guys seen that lately, some addon aircraft have been equiped with smooth-moving DVC gauges?...

these can be found in packages like that Aeronca Champ, the Stearman package and the Wicked Wilga (all available here in SimV)

when flying those using my 3D glasses i noticed that these gauges are actually 3D !!! the needle seems to be higher than the numbers, and the magnetic compass is actually round!! and their movement is as fast as your FPS goes, not jerky like  conventional gauges

i'm not yet sure how this has been accomplished, but i would surely like to see it in FSX planes.....

we haven't seen any DVCs yet.... so who knows...  ::)

I sincerly hope this technique is not used in FSX.

The guages you refer to are 3D modelled, and would preclude any modification of the panels except by remodelling them.
