FSX Steam and ADE 1.78

Hi,
I'm running ADE 1.78 with FSX Steam and all works fine for the most part but some of the scenery objects don't show when I add them to an airport. Static planes, some vehicles and blimps, balloons don't always show up. They show on the library object list in ADE but not always in the airport scenery. Any ideas on this? Thanks

Scenery objects have an attribute named 'Complexity' which can have the values: Very Sparse, Sparse, Normal, Dense, Very Dense and Extremely Dense.
You can examine your objects' complexity in ADE by opening the List->Scenery Objects menu item and having a look at the third column in the displayed table.
If an object's complexity is higher than the simulator's scenery complexity setting then it won't show up.
I don't have FSX Steam but assuming it is set up as FSX then the scenery complexity is set via : Settings->Customize(button)->Scenery(tab)->Scenery Objects(group box)
Try at first to maximize the setting, if the missing objects appear then there you have the reason.
Closing/Opening the sim might be necessary for the settings changes to take place.

I did that and some still don't show. I guess my question would be, where are these objects found and how may I get them into FSX. I'm not sure where they are stored. ie, balloons, helicopters some fire equipment, etc. It mostly has to do with aircraft_vehicles. Thanks

That’s a good point about the scenery complexity setting. I had the same issue in FSX Steam once and some objects didn’t appear until I increased the scenery complexity to Very Dense.
You might also want to check if the specific library you’re using for those objects is properly installed and active in the Scenery Library. Sometimes ADE lists them, but FSX won’t display them if the library BGL isn’t loaded correctly.
