Hello,

I downloaded the "FSX/P3D Boeing KC-46a Pegasus USAF package v2" posted on March 3, 2022.

It's a very nice aircraft model. Does the fuel boom work? If it does work, how do you operate it?

Thank you.

TBH I did not try it but here is what it says in the readme. This was for FS2004. Whether it works also in FSX or P3D is a question

How to operate.
==============================================
Refueling boom is animated by gear code so if press G then boom will be down
as same as the gear.
But that won't make sence.
So used RECOGNITION Light for switchin gear /boom

RECOGNITION Light ON = Boom mode.
RECOGNITION Light OFF = Gear mode.

There is a panel made for the operation too.
Also under 75 feet at radio altimeter , it automatically changes to gear mode.

apparently boom(s) are nonfunctional in FSX - looser download - uninstalled and trashed whole thing ~ waste of time

KC-135T much better for practicing aerial refueling

btw - there's no "RECOGNITION Light" in FSX... what a screw-up!

The refueling boom works perfectly fine, the documentation, however, is unfortunately incorrect.

The boom extend/retract animation is linked to the 'Tail hook' event.
By default this event is activated by using the Shift+Q keys combination,
unless it has been changed in your Settings->Controls->Buttons/Keys definitions' page.

Needless to say the aircraft must be in the air for the animation to work.

Happy landings.

...turns out 'tailhook' will deploy refueling boom... had tried hitting 'T' for tailhook, but command is 'shift + T' - boom drops down and looks GREAT!!!

- thanks, "sarbir" :D
