Installation of FSX onto a new laptop

Postby Articangel » Thu Sep 23, 2021 8:53 am

Hi.
My copy of FSX acceleration is on disc. I have just bought a new laptop and it has no optical drive. Can i download the game and use the activation codes on the discs or will I have to buy an external disc drive? <<r

Instead of buying an external drive, wouldn't it be better to buy the Steam version of FSX ? Then you wouldn't need any DVD anymore.

Hi,

Both my gaming laptops came without dvd drives so I bought external drives, just looked at Steam and FSX is near as dam it the same price as my drive.
Personally if I was buying the external drive now I'd consider getting a blu ray drive instead of just a basic dvd drive, possibly even a blu ray writer based on how prices have come down.

regards

Steve

I bought a new desktop without a disc drive and what I did was copy the three disks onto an external hard drive then install the program from the external drive.

Keep smiling
