FSX/P3D Boeing 757-23A Comco package

Postby Northwest102 » Fri Sep 03, 2021 11:33 am

Hello,

How can I correct the fuel flow rate of a Boeing 757-200. The model Chris Evans created is AWESOME, I just need to correct the fuel burn. Can anyone tell me what I need to do?
Right now the FF rate is 0.1 or 0.0 so how can I correct that?

Thank you,

Hi, What's the actual problem in flight you are having? Usually the easiest way to fix this is to edit in the aircraft.cfg parts from an aircraft where the problem does not exist. Have you installed any other 757-200?

Here is what is says in the aircraft.cfg

[GeneralEngineData]
engine_type =1
Engine.0 =12.200, -19.500, -4.290
Engine.1 =12.200, 19.500, -4.290
fuel_flow_scalar =1.8927100
min_throttle_limit=-0.31995

What is the actually flying issue? I'd be very interested. Thanks

Hi Chris,

For some reason the fuel burn reading in the cockpit is 0.1 when on the ground and 0.0 when at 35,000 feet. I don't have any other B757s downloaded. I can see if I can upload a picture.

I tried downloading another B752 but it would not let me save the edits in the file.

Could it be because I'm running P3Dv4.5 that I'm experiencing this?

Thank you,

Yes edit the file outside P3D (or FSX) then replace it in the file in the sim. Did you try the other 757? Was it working in this one?

I just use notepad.

Yes just edit the aircraft.cfg file in a different folder (always make a copy of original when editing files).
Then save and replace the file in your sim.
Depending on what you are editing you may have to restart P3D or FSX to notice the change.
