Your thoughts on Microsoft Flight Simulator X and the Steam

Postby EleanorGrace » Mon Apr 26, 2021 12:57 pm

I want to start flight-simming again after a three or four year hiatus. Has anything changed in the last few years? My old routine was FSX (disk installation), Squawkbox (for Vatsim), PMDG 737 and 747, REX weather, vRoute (flight plans).

I have also purchased the Steam Edition of FSX (FSX:SE). How are you finding it and do the PMDG aircraft work properly with it? Please share your thoughts and tweaks with me.

I still fly acceleration pack (fsx gold edition) and most of my friends have the steam one, so what are the differences?
If you are unable to fly an aircraft, become the aircraft

Just installed FSX Acc on my new WinX laptop from my original Microsoft disks, for as an old fashioned bloke I've always wanted my own programmes and not being dependable. Still love it and foddle around with it almost every evening. What amazed me was that when installing I get the message that the publisher was mentioned as "unknown", though it is original Microsoft software. Suppose they're ashamed of what they did with their gaming studio ?
As we still have a lot of great designers around it sure will still give you lots of fun with new treats almost every day, no matter if it's a Steam or a different version.

Have fun!!
