F/A-18F clean?

Postby Azframer » Mon Jan 11, 2021 1:24 am

Any chance of there being a F/A-18F Super Hornet Clean, no tanks weapons, or pylons? I've been working on the Blue Angels paint scheme and pretty much have it done. I need a clean F model. I have one that is for FS 2004 but the canopy is blacked out from inside the cockpit.

If you nip over to simmarket the Aerial foundry F18 packs are free for FS9, under gratis bottom of page 2.

There also seems to be a clean model FA18F included here

But maybe this is the one you have? Not FSX native but it will work in many FSX setups and P3D up to v3.

I found one today from the guys on a Facebook group on their Team Speak server. It has modified flight dynamics. I'll upload it once I am done painting. They have the E and F together in one package but I will need to split them apart because some sheets do not fit the fuselage the same. It is a work in progress still.

Thank you.
The antennas on the bottom should be Blue but they are not separated. I tried making the set on sheet 3 blue but it did not make a difference. They all key off the set on the left side of the sheet.

That gives me great satisfaction to know it is liked. It makes the 2 years of working on it with all the frustration worth it. I'd have to step away and let it sit then come back to it a little fresher with the attitude.

I guess you could say I first started this when I shifted the colors darker and posted this picture on my Facebook page 2016-7-28. I was never really pleased with that texture set. It took a while to figure the whole paint without a paint kit thing.
I see why the texture was done the way it was, I am not trying the beat up the person who did the original, it was tough to figure out.
I took this before I won my copy of FSX SE on Facebook using FS Recorder to taxing with the Legacy Hornet and why I shifted to the darker colors to match the Legacy. My heart really wanted better though.

You can add a smoke system after the fact can't you?
If so, where could I find this information?
