Strange problem with a DC-10

Postby garymbuska » Tue Jul 28, 2020 7:27 am

I down loaded a DC-10 the other day and when I go to push back using the standard shift+p key I get a message stating the tug cannot move the aircraft. This is the first time I have ever seen this message
This aircraft is from Thomas Ruth and was part of a multiple model download TOM_DC_10_20
any help would be appreciated thanks in advance
The below is what is in the document floder

FSX McDonnell Douglas DC-10 Version2
FSX native model, needs FSX ServicePack1 or 2
Version2, this time with custom panel and virtual
cockpit. KC10 boom changed to door animation. FSX
conversion of Erick Cantus beautiful FS9 WIP

Thanks NIGHTHAWK
I am pretty certain that I was at a heavy gate
Beside the only difference between any gate is where the airplane spots at.
I used to work at KJAX Jacxsonville, Florida and one of our gates was gate A4 and both Heavies and regular aircraft parked there The only difference is where the front wheel is spotted at especially in the case of a B767 as it had two doors you could put the jetway at and we would always advise the incoming aircraft if it was going to be a 1R or 2R door.

Suggest you check the contacts, and in particular the position of the nosewheel. The tug pushes the nose wheel, and if this is not in the correct lateral position then there can be no pushback.

That was the problem thanks a million. <<t <<r

This aircraft is different rather than use one aircraft.cfg file and different flight sim entries it has one for every variation and when I checked a different variation I noticed a difference in contact points this is a good example of what not to do
