I have what might be a contact problem I have a B747-400 that the nose wheel sits about two feet off the taxiway and I am not ure if this is a contact problem or a weight and balance issue.
this is the entry for the nose wheel
point.0 = 1.000, -2.333, 0.000, -14.433, 5181.102, 0.000, 2.042, 80.000, 0.660, 0.650, 0.880, 11.000, 11.000, 0.000, 240.000, 280.000 // Nose Gear
Does this look correct? :doh: :think:

Is that for a posky 744?

Here is one I painted and uploaded about a week ago and the numbers look the same but I'm using in P3D4.5. Not sure if FSX will be different.

I would try copying the entire contents of aircraft.cfg from [General] down and pasting into your 744 presuming it's a posky 744. If it's not posky don't do that. ;)

And you can try changing the 1st line like this.

point.0 = 1.000, -20.333, 0.000, -14.833,

to

point.0 = 1.000, -20.333, 0.000, -12.833,

or something in between - or more or less. It's that number that has most effect on nosewheel

Thanks for the info. after doing some tweaking this is what I wound up with and it works great

point.0 = 1.000, -2.333, 0.000, -14.433, 5181.102, 0.000, 2.042, 80.000, 0.660, 0.650, 0.880, 11.000, 11.000, 0.000, 240.000, 280.000 // Nose Gear this was the original entry

point.0= 1.000, -20.333, -1.500, -13.750, 2181.102, 0.000, 2.000, 70.000, 0.300, 0.500, 0.880, 11.000, 11.000, 0.000, 240.000, 280.000 // Nose Gear new entry
you can see the difference
I could not believe there was that much difference
I normally do not mess with contact points because they can be a lot of headache.
