Aryus Works Citation Excel

Aryus Works Citation Excel

Postby Hawkeye07 » Fri Mar 22, 2019 6:14 pm

Does anyone else have these problems? Is there a fix I didn't find in my searching the boards?

1. Nose wheel only turns to the left. The aircraft itself will turn to the right but the nose wheel stays centered.

2. Ailerons both move in the same direction. Left turn - they both go up, right turn, they both go down for a second and then slap back to neutral.

Beautiful looking aircraft but these problems really take away from the overall enthusiasm to fly them.

Note! these aircraft are the FSX native aircraft package with extra pop-up extras in VC. (Posted Feb 24, 2019 09:48 by Jetranger)

I had downloaded this one quite a while ago ( way before Jetranger posted them) and I had the same trouble back then.

THE Aryus Works Sovereign doesn't have these problem and is a superb flyer. I hope to get the Excel working as well.

If it moves and it's not supposed to - use the Duct Tape.
If it doesn't move and it's supposed to - use the WD40.

I had this trouble a few years ago with another aircraft. Try downloading it again, but with no other programs running and the same for install. Recently had to break my rule about firewall safety to download an aircraft....scary shyte that is...goodluck

Hi Hagar! Thanks for reminding me of the original FS9 version. It has its problems too although smaller than the FSX versions. Just the flashing hinge points which bug me less then the NWS
and the aileron problems on the FSX version. Oh well, it is what it is. A hellova lot better than I could ever do.

Since we are talking about the Ayrus Citation, It also has problems with landing lights. You can add all the landing lights in the aircraft config and they show up. Unfortunately, they do not light up the ground ahead of you. I think it is a model oversight.

hopefully these things can be corrected to give us a really nice personal jet.

You are 100% correct the splash from landing lights is part of the model file and can only be fixed by the original creator as you have to have the original file in order to solve the problem.
One word of caution this is not a simple task as you have to define the light from a given point to a given point get it wrong and you could see light coming from any where except from where it is supposed to.

just another reason why I do not mess with things like this and my hat goes off to the people who design all of these aircraft.

Please re-read the opening comment. It will explain it.

I've noticed since I first opened this subject that the FSX version of the "Aryus C680_NJA_N372QS Sovereign" file has the same problem as the Excel. :(

FS2004 models can work fine in FSX provided they have the right panel (internal model if VC required) and sounds. It won't work in P3D4 (all I use) but I might take a look at this out of interest.

I am proud to present this Cessna Citation Excel XLS, registration N556CS, in Citation Shares livery in the Aryus Works freeware model. Citation Shares flies this model of the Citation as well as the Bravo, CJ3 and Sovereign. I paid attention to detail and realism as much as possible on this work. I hope you enjoy flying this as much as I enjoyed painting it. I want to thank and give credit to Bryan Bass for inspiring this project. This is a full install package and includes Aryus Works Citation Excel XLS model and air files. Uses default Lear45 panel and sounds. Please see Install.txt for installation details. Repaint by Jeffrey S. Bryner.

There is no "position" for the gauge, so even if you add, it will not show up. I think this is a limitation in the original VC model.
