Some time ago w10 updated itself without prompting it & since FSX became unstable.

After T/O & levelling 3000ft with autopilot, alt, hdg & spd selected after a minute or two it stalls.

Before this update it used to fly normally.

Is it the w10 or the FSX's problem?

Run FSX in compatibility mode ( Windows 7 or 8 ) to discard if is a Win10 problem.

I have had a similar problem. Update had modified incorrectly the FSX.cfg file. I removed the corrupted file (moved it to the desktop) restarted FSX, it rebuilds a new cfg file, and now it runs fine.
