Having trouble with a BAC 1-11-400 package

Yep, I am having trouble with the BAC 1-11-400 package (the one with standard and hush kitted ones). I am basically having a lot of trouble trying to take off with that thing (the aircraft kept stalling before I managed to gain at least 3000 feet). I had a lot of trouble taking off from North Las Vegas Airport; I tried places with runways with about 9500 feet length like in Phoenix Sky Harbor; the aircraft still stalls before gaining enough altitude (though I managed to take off without a hassle with a Sud Aviation Caravelle from these airports). Somehow only that BAC had issues taking off. Tried using the manuals- with zero luck as well. Please help, thanks.

You don't say whose 1-11 it is. If it is the one from CBFSim, I suggest you ask on their own site.

I am referring to the DMFlightUK one. I don't see anywhere I can ask them regarding the takeoff issue on their site so I thought leaving a question for advice here might help.

I had the same problem when I initially downloaded the BAC. Up to about 400 feet then one or both engines flame out and CRASH. I believe the solution is nothing more than making sure all adjustments are correct, fuel pumps are on through take-off and fine tuning your aircraft. I appreciate your frustration, but sometimes, you just have to work through it to work it out. <<v

If that is the case I might double check the manual at the DMFlightUK website and see if there are any steps I missed.

I've searched for DMFlightUK and it doesn't appear anywhere.

DM is David Maltby whose 1-11 this is, and he can be found at cbfsim.co.uk Go to the forums and ask the question. They are very helpful.

There's a switch on the panel called TTC Only. You need to turn that switch on. That's why your engines are failing after take-off, you're overtemping them. Not sure where that switch is on the FSX version of Maltby's BAC-111. On the FS2004 version it is only found on the pedestal of the virtual cockpit. Trust me on this, I flew the real Bac-111.

As if it is not complicated enough, go to https://sites.google.com/site/fsxstuffbybk/ where the basic Maltby 1-11 series has been made better and more realistic and with approval of Matlby. The procedure is a palaver however. Be warned.

I noticed that stuff (labeled Engine Top Temp). Now I no longer have the engine cutting off shortly after takeoff but I still have to worry about the airspeed (which barely crosses V2 after rotating).

Will try that out if I run out of ideas to counter the stalling problem.

Scanning that forum for similar posts; will ask them if I cannot find anyone with the same airspeed issue prior to T/O.
