FSX/P3D>v4 Swiss A330-300 package

Postby brntwrmn » Wed May 16, 2018 11:22 pm

Hello,

I downloaded the FSX/P3D>v4 Swiss A330-300 package and I have been having some issues and challenges with it. It won't let me use the "shift + p" to back up. I have to use the back up utility, but it doesn't function at all even after the voice says to set the parking brake, and where you set the parameters for how many meters to back up. I have use the utility before without any problems for other models. How can I just disable this function so that I can just use the "shift + P" function?

On the engine display in the VC panel, it displays 4 engines yet it's a twin engine jet. Is there anyway for the panel to only display the function of 2 engines rather than 4? Other than the issues and challenges mentioned, it's a pretty good package.

I am not 100% sure if you can disable that. There might be something in the panel.cfg file that you can edit but it could be a gauge that is culprit here and you can edit gauges provided you have FSPANELSTUDIO and know what you are doing
One way that might work would be to use a different panel for the aircraft
I would suggest that before you do anything to rename the original Panel folder to PANELOLD or something like that than place a panel folder from some other aircraft it really does not matter which aircraft and see what happens

If the shift+p works than you know the problem is in the original panel and more than likely part of a gauge.

Hi I am uploading a fixed version now that has the correct 2 engine gauge and will now push back using Shift P.

I also was getting message 'this aircraft cannot be moved by the tug'

Meanwhile I did 2 things to fix pushback and not sure which one did it - try this 1st

In aircraft.cfg file replace your Contact points with this txt (open in notepad)

[contact_points]
point.0=1, 66.95, 0.00, -16.58, 1181.1, 0, 4.521, 90.0, 1.00, 2.5, 0.7235, 4.0, 4.0, 0, 270.0, 270.0
point.1=1, -18.60, -17.60, -19.98, 1574.8, 1, 4.521, 0.0, 2.61, 1.6, 0.7470, 6.9, 6.9, 2, 270.0, 270.0
point.2=1, -18.60, 17.60, -19.98, 1574.8, 2, 4.521, 0.0, 2.61, 1.6, 0.7470, 7.1, 7.1, 3, 270.0, 270.0
point.3=1, -18.60, 0.00, -19.98, 1574.8, 2, 4.521, 0.0, 2.61, 1.6, 0.7470, 7.1, 7.1, 3, 270.0, 270.0
point.4=2, -43.97, -97.21, 4.80, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 5, 0.0, 0.0
point.5=2, -43.97, 97.21, 4.80, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 6, 0.0, 0.0
point.6=2, -107.2, 0.00, 2.53, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 9, 0.0, 0.0
point.7=2, 86.35, 0.00, 0.00, 787.4, 0, 0.000, 0.0, 0.00, 0.0, 0.0000, 0.0, 0.0, 4, 0.0, 0.0

static_pitch = 0.10
static_cg_height = 17.56
gear_system_type=1 //Hydraulic

If that doesn't work I will send you the updated mdl file - as I also put in an another version from Thomas Ruth (but it could have been the same as original).
