Hi Den.
I don't use the service packs.I run
FSX Gold.It has the acceleration add on.
I also use DX10 with Steves Fixer.
I tried DX9 but no luck there either.So
back to DX10.

Try rebuilding your FSX shaders?

Copy or zip the following folder somewhere else (e.g. desktop) as a backup, then delete it.
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Microsoft\FSX\Shaders

When you next restart FSX, it will rebuild the shader folders.

Worth a shot at least!

Although I've never seen this in FSX I have had it happen in another piece of software. The software in question was JamVox, a program to let me play guitar on my computer, all the menu was exactly the same as you have in FSX. After many Emails to Vox they said it was another piece of software interfering with JamVox. So I started deleting other software and finally found the culprit which was Open Office, I un-installed that and JamVox worked perfectly. Upshot is that it could be a program unrelated to FSX that is causing the grief. I would say that something has overwritten the proper font and is causing the problem.

Same with the CFG.

As Boikat suggested - please carefully check your fonts in FSX\Fonts

This is what mine looks like - you can see 15 fonts in mine. If you are missing any go to C\Windows\Fonts and copy that font into the FSX Fonts folder

I found this in a Google search.
If you have Intel integrated graphics, i.e. not a separate graphics card. Go to Intel graphics settings and move the 3D setting slider (or any similar option there) from performance to "balanced".
Could be worth a look.

Hi there, I had the same problem with the previously named program "JamVox" for guitar or bass amps.
I got a hint today from a german musician board. Please go to the following folder:
%appdata%\..\Local\Microsoft\Windows\Fonts
And then remove all fonts in this directory from your windows font-settings!
Alternatively please try to add another user account.

Have the ACC installed.I have the Gold version.

It doesn't matter what program it is. It's a matter of what programing language has been used to create the program and how the fonts were accessed.
Did you try to delete the fonts in your User Directory?
