Engines Stop mid flight

Postby PhillyJoe » Thu Apr 26, 2018 6:04 pm

Gateway DX4831
Win 10 home
NVIDIA GeForce GT 40 NVIDIA compatible
CH Eclipse Yoke

Flying the basic cessna piston my engines are shutting down in midflight.
This used to work fine. I laid off for about a year and now the engines are shutting down.
Any ideas?

Thanks.

1) Try a different aircraft.
2) Check FSX hasn't defaulted to "demo" mode.

Since the magnetos (ignition system) are independent of the aircraft's electrical system, whether the alternator is on or off will have no effect on the engine. If it's off, the battery will run down and the electronics will die, but the engine will keep going.

Thanks for all your consideration.
Turns out that the fuel mixture control on my Eclipse yoke was reversed.
Sorry to bother.

Thanks again for your time.
