C_144 Starlifter vc, new style?

Postby seafury1 » Sun Dec 31, 2017 4:37 pm

Uploaded this three times nothing changed. wished I could figure out how to get the Alrot panel to show. No matter what I do I cannot get the file small enough to upload. But all you have to do is load up the aircraft. Wether it be in FSX or PrepareDv4. Chris Evans needs to see if he can fix this.

Hi
Welcome to the forum.
Are you talking about a screenshot or the aircraft? A screenshot has nothing to do with the aircraft .....

If you are seeking help resizing in order to post please see this

Meanwhile I will also check the file in question to see if it works OK. Not sure about a C144 but I am guessing you mean C141 https://simviation.com/1/search?submit= ... &x=18&y=12
Chris Evans stuff is generally all ok right out of the box.

Ok ... checked out and seems fine

I also downloaded the Starlifter...and was surprised to see the virtual cockpit halfway up the runway (as viewed from the pilots seat). I found a way to mate everything to fly, and the plane does a credible job, but each time I fly, I have to go through the same thing...adjust, pull the cockpit back into position, etc. Not blaming the author, in fact, it's probably something within my system. Just never had this happen before.

thanx for pointing that out. I do not have a problem with any other panel showing up the minute I check the aircraft I want. Weird. I will try to get that screenshot down so I can get it on here. I agree with you about Chris. Everything spot on..

It looks like one of the examples where P3Dv4 can vary from FSX. It seems unusual most of the time.

If you use FSX try replacing the [views] section in the aircraft.cfg with this text (use notepad & remember to save). If you cannot save the file in FSX >> copy it outside >> edit it >> delete the aircraft.cfg in aircraft folder and then copy it back.

[Views]
eyepoint = 64.500, -1.800, 11.100

I will upload this fix as a patch for FSX users.
Thank you for feeding back and educating me!

Thank you Chris for your fix. I just downloaded it, tried it out and the results are superb...I had found a way to move everything back into place, kind of like mating real aircraft in the factory...inch by inch by inch. I'm not a real computer wiz, so I, and I'm sure many others appreciate your response and work....Thank you.

Hi All,

Just wanted give a heads up, I was experiencing the iffy cockpit view too but in P3D v4.1

The fix has sorted it out.

Am enjoying the aircraft though!
