If I try to save an edited file (Panel cfg) in Notebook it says can't find path.
This is odd as it has found the path to open the file in the first place

Any help would be much appreciated - Thanks

:?:
I think the problem could be one of " file ownership" maybe?

This is for W10:. https://winaero.com/blog/how-to-take-ow ... indows-10/

Alternatively, search the correct procedure for your OS.

Are you trying to edit them inside FSx or P3D? (& do you mean notepad?)

If so copy them to another folder outside - edit them and copy them back in (rename the original as a backup - such as aircraft1.cfg.)

Sorry yes I did mean Notepad. If I go into Compuyet/prog files/microsoft games/sim objetcs/aircraft/ (select aircraft/panels ....it shows a Notepad file which I want to modify. If I edit this and save an error message says

Cannot create the C:/Program Files //prog files/microsoft games/sim objetcs/aircraft/...............blah blah
Mke sure the path and file name are correct

If I got to my desk top and click the Notepad icon and put in /prog files/microsoft games/sim objetcs/aircraft/ etc
it says no items match your search ??
