SkySpirit/POSKY 777 Logo and Cabin Lights Not Working

Postby brntwrmn » Thu Oct 26, 2017 8:59 pm

Hello,

I downloaded the "Boeing 777-300ER Emirates "2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil" Package (B777-31HER_Emirates_FSX-1.zip )" from Simviation. I cannot seem to get the logo and cabin lights to work. What can I do to get them working? I am using FSX Steam Edition.

Thank you in advance.

I just downloaded it and from what I can see I found several CABINET file inside of the panel folder of the aircraft CABINET files have the extension CAB and these files usually belong inside of the gauge folder which might explain why you lights are not working. I have never seen CAB files inside of a panel folder before.

But there might be one other reason the logo lights and cabin lights are part of the night time effects and can only be seen at night. If that is true all you have to do is to set up FSX in night time mode and see if they work than
if you still do not see them you might want to move the CAB files inside of the gauge folder but make a back up of the gauge folder before you do anything.
I know I have several aircraft that you can not see the logo lights until it turns dark.

The .cab files are gauges and gauges inside the panel folder is correct and completely normal.

Absence of night lighting is probably the lack of night textures included in the file. I will check it out.

This is perfectly normal. Look in the panel folders of the FSX default aircraft.

I never noticed them before
I downloaded this aircraft and from what I could see the night textures are there
there are also two model folders and the aircraft cfg file is using the MODEL_L folder
All I know I have a fleet of Airbuses that the logo can only be seen when it starts to get dark same as the outside window lights they only can be seen when the sim switches to dusk mode
same as the panel lights.
I am sure they actually come on but you just do not notice them because it is to light.
Usually the night textures have a _L at the end of the name.
