The thing is, FSX Steam might require a little bit different tweaking than FSX (but I'm not even sure...).
For those who have problems installing or uninstalling or activating FSX, just stop wasting your time.
If you want to keep using an obsolete sim, just switch to FSX Steam.
If you want something more modern, switch to P3Dv4 (but be Prepar3d to say bye-bye to some of your addons, especially the FS9 stuff).
Today there is simply no reasons at all to keep wasting your energy with FSX boxed.
I am getting to that point I have all ready moved a lot of stuff over to FSX Steam as I do not have any issues with that. But I may try one more thing before I say good bye to the Boxed version.
I think Windows 10 is really the big culprit here as I never had any problems until Windows 10 had that last big update.
Right after the update I discovered FSX was no longer activated and that is when the S**T hit the fan.
I had to uninstall and reinstall FSX which went with no problems I activated it and than installed Acceleration but never got the opportunity to activate it and installing Acceleration deactivated FSX
I tried several times with no luck and yes I ran the unlocking tool before I reinstalled FSX but had the same problem I never got a activation screen after installing Acceleration
So I manually installed service pack 1 and service pack 2.
