Interesting idea, but I think that would be very hard to accomplish in fsx.
The sun and moon are only textures, not objects. The do not cast light or shadow. The sky is also only texture, and the sim shows the appropriate rexture based on time of day, and some sort of astro calculation for the sun and moon. An eclipse like event requies custom sun and moon effect textures, and some way to tel the sim to transition from daylight to darkness in the time frame where the sky texture is supposed to be daylight.
Might be simething for somebody a lot smarter than me to try and work out, but I wouldn't hold your breath waiting.
