Anti-aliasing in FSX Steam?

Postby Lysander77 » Mon Aug 07, 2017 6:50 pm

How is this accomplished? In standard FSX, there was a menu choice - but nothing obvious in FSX Steam..
Thanks for any suggestions...

Anti-Aliasing is still there in FSX-SE

Go to: settings-display-graphics on lower left of page put a checkmark in the box by Anti-Aliasing.

Thanks very much for your prompt and helpful response. That solves my problem very neatly. As always, basics seem to elude me (probably my age.)
Thanks again,

You're very welcome Sir.
I hope you are enjoying your trouble free," Out Of Memory Error" free, and tweak free flying on FSX-SE. For the record, there are some FREE Cloud and Cirrus Cloud addons available online in case you don't have them. The stunningly beautiful hi-res clouds really add to my flying enjoyment and it also improves the weather in "real weather" mode, which I use all the time.

Thanks again. I'll give the clouds a try. They sound quite promising - especially as I enjoy printing out photos of the aircraft in flight!
Your suggestion is much appreciated...

FSX:SE has real-time weather??? If so, then that would have made FSX:SE a must have for me.

FSX-SE is strictly FSX, it is a commercial license from MS to Dovetail. Dovetail can not modify the core program by contract.
So the settings, windows etc. are the same.

But some Dovetail mods-additions allowed in the contract make this version free of the FSX boxed edition problems. That´s why I have supported Dovetail buying FSC and they gave me FSW free, if not, I had bought it.
Plus there are interesting addons/utilities that maybe never won´t be available for P3DV4
If you add: Steve's DX10 fixer and REX, plus ORBX, is still a good option. I have it as second sim. I have installed most of sceneries in a second Drive and I can activate them in FSX, P3D and FSW.

Hello OAM, one of the things that I enjoy in Real Weather mode is to set it in 15min. updates mode . Then I check a weather website to find a location in North America that is having bad thunderstorms or other bad weather, low clouds etc. I then take my Carenado Bonanza A36 or TBM850 to an airport there, file an IFR flight plan and go flying. Dark cloud-cover, lightening flashes and thunderclaps make for a VERY ENJOYABLE and challenging flight for me . It often ends in an ILS approach to landing. Its one of my many flight sim joys.

Thanks, guys. I had thought that the "real-time" weather in FSX wasn't working anymore.
