Hi All; I have returned to FSX deluxe edition in Windows 10. Every time I want to edit the aircraft files I get an access denied error, can anyone suggest a work around for this. The sim seems to work fairly well, have to learn some stuff all over again though all help greatly appreciated. R

If you installed in the default location,(C/program files(x86), copy the CFG file to your desktop, edit, save, copy and paste back into the aircraft folder. It's a windows 7/8/10 thing.

As Boikat suggested and ---- always back up originals of any files you are editing!

You may find you have to open the file as Administrator. Right click on the file, click on "Open as Administrator" and continue with your edit. And, as is so oft said.....back up your original files before you do anything.
